Benjamin Shepherd wants more power in the hands of the people, so we all can decide on the destiny of our town; to agree or disagree with any wage increases for government, and have a direct say in how our Freedoms are protected, and expanded. Direct Democracy is True Democracy: voters no longer trust Government representatives to work for their best interests. It is time to take back our power.

He encourages everyone regardless of ethnicity, belief and budget, to contact him with their ideas on how to deal with the overspending, the overtaxing, and the wasteful spending of the current council administration. Your concerns & your perspective are Benjamin Shepherd’s main focus. We can all learn to trust each other, and to work together for a better tomorrow.
Better Recreation
Okotoks needs more recreational facilities. Our town grew so fast, and the population grew more vast, and our facilities can no longer accommodate our needs. Whether it is more parking, better hockey rinks & better swimming pools, we need this town to refocus our resources in accommodating what the voters & tax payers actually want. Benjamin Shepherd will be your advocate to ensure your needs, and the needs of your family, come first. This is your Town.
